About

Adam Davis is Lead Pastor of Elevate – a church plant in Monroe MI that seeks to reach our city with a fresh expression of the ancient Christian faith and help people KNOW GOD, GROW STRONG and DO GREAT THINGS.
Here’s 10 things to help you get to know Adam a little:

He’s been married to Kristen since 2003 and has 2 sons, Addison Josiah and Landon Christopher.

Adam earned his degree from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, where he was also captain of the men’s basketball team.

Adam goes by his middle name – his first name is actually Christopher (which he’s never answered to).

In 2004 he founded treeoflife missions for the purpose of touching lives and impacting nations and served as a missionary to Russia until 2008.

Prior to planting Elevate Church, Adam worked as a teacher, energy consultant & then missionary.

Adam knew only one family in Monroe when he came to plant a church: Dave & Hollie Behnke with whom he went to college. Now Dave is an Executive Pastor and Hollie is the Kids Director at Elevate.

Adam’s travels have taken him deep into the arctic circle & to points in New Zealand just short of Antartica; he’s seen the sky of the northern lights and the Southern Cross – five times he’s found himself further than half-way around the world from his home all while visitng countries on 5 continents.

His ministry license & ordination come from a member of the non-denominational RLCI

Adam’s birthday is June 20th, his son Addison’s is June 18, 2007 & Landon’s is June 3, 2009- Kristen has the lone non-June birthday (September 19).

Adam has been connected with John Maxwell’s EQUIP since 2005 and has trained leaders first in Russia and currently in Kazakstan as part of the Million Leader Mandate global initiative

    Adam,
I have been attending elevate since the grand opening almost 2 years ago. I attended the mothers day service today and I wanted to let you know that if felt as though you were preaching right to me and it really did open my eyes on many things, especially in relationships. I wanted to thank you though because it made everything for once make sense and its not very often in this poor lighted world that things are put into perspective. You are an amazing pastor and Elevate has impacted my life for the better in many ways. I was so depressed and down about life until you and elevate helped my find God, and helped me begin my walk with God. I’m only 19 but life hasnt been easy my mom is an alcholoic and my parents are devorces becuase of it. I’ve raised my two brothers since I was 13. It makes me feel good to be part of something that is taking steps to change the world and help others. And it helps to have somewhere to go that reminds me that all happends for a reason and God wouldn’t deal me the hand I’ve been dealt without knowing I could handle whatever he throws at me. But thank you for being the light in the darkness.

    Peace & Love
    Danielle

    Hi Adam,

I have been coming to Elevate for about a year. I used to drive to Toledo and went to Cedar Creek. I just need to let you know how much you have impacted my life, especially in these last few services. I have a been going to church all of my life. I was raised catholic. You have brought me to tears and made me come out of my comfort zone in regard to sharing with people my love for God. You have such a gift and I am so glad that I have come to Elevate to be able to hear God’s word through your voice. In all my years of going to church, I have never seen anyone more passionate about God and God’s work. You are awesome at what you do, please keep going. Thanks to you and thanks to Elevate for giving me an opportunity to become closer to God. Thanks for listening and have a great day.

    Sincerely,

    Lynn Hart

    Adam,

My fiancé and I have been regularly attending Elevate church since the beginning of this year. I have never been so moved by the way a pastor speaks as I do from you. I feel the compassion in your words. At times, it almost sounds as if you are fighting away tears. Lately you have been preaching that we are “On the Verge” of being a part of something new…something greater than ourselves. I feel I have found another way for us to do this.

Today is my fiancés father’s birthday (3-11-2012). All he wanted for his birthday is 30 minutes of our undivided attention to watch this video. I know you are a busy man but please take ½ hour of your time to watch this video on the link I posted below. My soon to be extended family is going to take part in this cause and I would love for you to say a few words about it in the next couple services. I feel that our community can contribute greatly to this cause.

    Thank you and God Bless,

Thanks for your encouraging words Anthony and I’m glad you and your fiancée are enjoying your experience at Elevate.

A little side note: your soon to be father-in-law shares a birthdate with my sister-in-law so happy birthday to them both.

I will definitely watch the video you sent. I have friends that are involved with mission work in Uganda and have been aware of the child soldier tragedy for some time. It is definitely a scheme born from evil that is attempting to rob people and nations of a future.

While I can’t guarantee that this cause will get mentioned in a service, I will see how I can help with awareness after watching the video. There are so many great causes and both time and passion are limited resources. That is why it is awesome that God lays different things on different people’s hearts. I commend you and the family you are marrying into for championing this cause. Thanks so much for sharing something you are passionate about with me.

Keep me in the loop as to what you guys are doing to help bring a brighter future to the children of central Africa and be sure to come say hi to me after a service at Elevate.

    Grace and peace,
    Adam
