Uncertainty is Nothing New

The Scriptures were written through uncertainty… Joseph sat in a hole and  listened as his brothers debated whether to sell him or kill him; King David’s own son conspired against him; a scared mother wrapped her baby and put him in a basket so Eqyptian soldiers wouldn’t kill him; the apostle Paul writes to us from a Roman prison.

The Bible is filled with stories of people facing uncertainty and like us, they are challenged to trust God when it’s most difficult to find Him or understand Him. Yet, as they leaned into God through these times, they discovered that not only is God not absent, He is often diligently at work accomplishing His will in this world and in the lives of those He loves.

So what is our response when everything seems to be going backwards? It’s difficult to grasp the truth that God still has the whole world in His hands, yet it’s the only way to maintain faith and hope in every situation.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” -Romans 8.28 TNIV

Uncertainty is nothing new, but we know that in ALL things God WORKS.
