Monday Morning Run Down
Second weekend in a row that I have a holy hangover – wake up Monday morning with a bit of a headache from the Holy Spirit buzz of the weekend thinking: wow did that really just happen?
Spring semester of eleven32 small groups start this week – looking forward to getting to know some people new to Elevate myself and hearing all the stories of community going on in all the groups
Playing golf this week for the first time of the season – next year I gotta get out earlier than this – but I’m looking forward to it nonetheless
Congrats to the 11 people who were baptized last night at Elevate – thanks for letting us share in your joy!
Getting some wonderful feedback on yesterday’s talk – if you need to listen for your eleven32 group, missed it for some reason or just want to hear it again you can listen online here
The Master’s Golf Championship was great to watch: good to see Tiger being interviewed about golf rather than his personal life and congrats to Phil Mickelson and family for winning after a tough battle with cancer
Big HUGE thanks to everyone who volunteered to make yesterday happen at Elevate: morning services + Connection Event + parking lot party + baptisms = a load of behind the scenes work but it also equals a major impact on people’s spiritual journey so THANKS ELEVATE VOLUNTEERS!
Got some yard work done this weekend: fresh mulch, some stones down, water hoses out, new table & chairs for the deck, put weed preventer down, fertilized the lawn and de-thatched parts of lawn that needed it – it’s just the start but hey its a start
If you haven’t used online giving yet at Elevate, try this safe and convenient way of supporting the church here and then click “Give Online” at the top of the page for the drop down menu
Get to spend some time with one of my favorite people this week: Steve Hutmacher from CedarCreek is a mentor and friend who also sits on Elevate’s Council of Presbyters that oversee me as I oversee the church and one of the most gracious and wise people I know
Magnolia tree and tulips are blossoming at my house - I love the change of seasons especially Spring
We’ve agreed to all the major terms of a lease for a new property and their real estate committee has approved our latest & final proposal – all that’s left is drawing up the lease and city approval – keep praying as we get closer to our own worship space one step at a time
Weather is suppose to be beautiful this week in SE Michigan – enjoy it!
