Easter at Elevate is in the books… with just over 500 people in attendance and many people interested in becoming followers of Jesus.  Are we really just a year old? Wow! God is moving amazingly in our midst!

Could the weather have been any better for Easter in SE Michigan?

So my almost 3 year old son, Addison, has been peeing on the potty regularly and so Saturday we let him wear big boy undies for the first time and in less than an hour… you guessed it

Headed to Toronto this Friday to meet with some folks up there about extending the church planting network I co-lead into Canada

I love Saturday mornings with my family - we get around slowly, gather around the peninsula in our kitchen & make fresh waffles – classic not Belgian – with choice of fruit topping & whipped cream (Kristen’s fav) or peanut butter & syrup (my fav) & chocolate milk – the food is great but the best part is time with family

Prediction: a viewing of the movie Clash of the Titans is in my near future

Prediction: the first grass cutting of the season is in my near future

Excited for Baptism this  Sunday night – I love watching people go public with their faith! Sunday night at the River Raisin Centre in downtown Monroe: parking lot party starts at 5p & Baptism service at 6p

This is a great week for sports fans: men’s & women’s college hoops championships, opening week for baseball season and the Masters Golf Championship (which includes Tiger Woods return to golf) – all happen this week – enjoy!

The stage & props looked awesome at Elevate yesterday – good job to Ryan Minton & Terry Potter for making that happen- in fact, big shout out to all the band & production for the wonderful job yesterday

A couple of books I’m enjoying right now: What Got You Here Won’t Get You There by Goldsmith and Unmerited Favor by Joseph Prince

Some developments in Elevate’s relocation kick up a level this week as our terms of agreement for the property we’re looking at make it to the committee of the property holder and we begin the master planning process – any prayers are appreciated!

We continue the series we started on Easter next week – come learn with us that He still* has the whole world in His hands – and that is reason for hope in uncertain times
