Nothing New

Speaker: Adam Davis (listen online here)

Mark 14.17-18 NLT

In the evening Jesus arrived with the twelve disciples. As they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me here will betray me.”

Mark 14.27-28 NLT

On the way, Jesus told them, “All of you will desert me. For the Scriptures say, ‘God will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ But after I am raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”

Romans 8.28 TNIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Uncertainty is nothing new,

but we know that in ALL things God WORKS

Is it possible that God is still active even when there is no indication of His activity? Have you been in a situation too dark to see or find hope?

How does the following phrase change your current sense of purpose and peace: “Good things come from broken things”?

In what ways did Betty’s story resonate with you?
