Jesus Loves the Saint

Speaker: Adam Davis

(listen online here)

Matthew 5.3 NKJV
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Luke 14.15 NLT
Hearing this, a man sitting at the table with Jesus exclaimed, “What a blessing it will be to attend a banquet in the Kingdom of God!”

Luke 18.9 NLT
Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else.

Romans 8.28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Jesus Loves You this I Know

In what way is the Biblical sense of a saint different from yours? Explain.

Jesus always referred to saints in the plural. What does this mean for you?

Why is it so difficult for us to grasp that God loves both those who oppose Him and the religious bigot?

In what way have you relied on your behavior and performance as a precondition on Jesus’ love?
