What do you think it takes to serve others with a generous heart?
In what ways have you been guilty of a “me church” mentality?
What excites you the most about the concept of a church that gives itself away?
What scares you the most?

What an amazing talk this week!! I am so excited to be a part of a church that gives itself away. As I talked to friends of mine we discussed the fact that this is truly lost in the church today altogether or that it gives itself away conditionally. The scripture that stood out was from Genesis 24:19, Rebekah went beyond her convenience and not only drew the man a drink but drew water for all of the camels. I am humbled to be a part of a community so willing to unconditionally give itself away!
From the very beginning, it was obvious that Elevate has been a church that truly does give itself away. This goes so completely against everything we’ve ever known in church culture. Let’s be honest… it’s easy to say we’re a church that focuses on people by giving ourselves away but it’s a completely different thing to actually act on it.
