Monday Morning Reflections
Ordered food in yesterday & rested all afternoon with my family at the house – loved it.
New set for the stage looked awesome at church yesterday – Aaron & the production crew did a good job putting everything together.
A gift was made in honor of Mother’s Day to help sexually exploited girls be rescued, recover & reintegrated into loving families. Just Elevate Moms doing their thing: caring & showing the love of God to others.
Last night Kristen said she is ready to have this baby – due date is still a month away but maybe Landon will come early.
I think the start of our new series Greater Things got off to a good start – heard a lot of encouraging feedback from people attending yesterday.
What was up with the Lakers yesterday? Getting beat soundly by a Rockets team with no Yao or McGrady – they didn’t come to play. At least the Celts/Magic game was exciting with a walk off game -winner.
I love the activity in the lobbies after service at Elevate – people connecting and talking – authentic community is from God & we need it!
Right now my son just woke up and is in his crib saying: “Daddy; office; golfing” – maybe he thinks I play golf at the office?
Hope is the soil in which faith grows – was a key statement from the talk yesterday in my view.
Finale of Celebrity Apprentice was crazy last night – I think justice was served in the end.
Off to the office to get to work – have a great week!
Connect more than ever, follow Elevate’s Directional Team on twitter this week and hear from other Elevat-ers.

You stated “Hope is the soil in which faith grows – was a key statement from the talk yesterday in my view.”
I like that…. but the message I felt and noted in my happenings during the sermon was “Hope sparks Faith, Faith is then nurtured and maintained so that God’s Love can be experienced and shared” I know that I jumped to Love and that the message really didn’t discuss it in connection with Hope and Faith. For me it was a natural progression and Faith was the soil in my analogy. I don’t think either of us are incorrect and I am going to stretch to pull out of the conclusion I jumped to and try and see your analogy but thought I would share
JC: Thanks for sharing your thoughts & you are right that during a talk/teaching/sermon God’s Spirit will direct us to a thought or principle that is for us.
Some of my best “aha” moments have come while I’m listening to the talks of other teacher/preachers but the thought may only be loosely connected if at all. The deal is that we are open to hearing and God takes those opportunities to speak to us (which is really cool to me that He cares that much about us).
Anyway – glad you received something from God during the talk and thanks for sharing it with all of us!
