Obstacle or Opportunity?

So Elevate Church rocked it out last night at Cafe Classics in downtown Monroe. We had a Communion Service last night with an extended time of worship and just a short message from me on the word eucharist (greek for thanksgiving) before taking the Lord’s Supper.
It was easily one of the best services we’ve had (not that we’ve had that many yet). If you call Elevate your home church and missed it for some reason, I’m really sorry you weren’t there because it was powerful. We finished with a time of reflection & communion where people could come for prayer if they wanted or could simply sit and meditate on God’s goodness and presence.
The owner of the coffee house was there and actually requested prayer over his 3 businesses (a bakery & sub shop in addition to the cafe). He is a believer and let us know he was thoroughly blessed by the service and that he’d love to have us back any time for another.
I want to give all the volunteers a big shout-out for their great work to make this an awesome experience for everyone who attended. Setting up in a brand new & strange place is challenging but you guys pulled it off despite the obstacles – from children’s ministry to production & tech/media to First Impression Team – you did an awesome job!
Way to go Elevate – not being able to meet at the college could been viewed as an obstacle but we took it as an opportunity to do something new & exciting and it paid off. Awesome adventure with all of you!
