Big meeting today @ M triple C…
Just got back from a meeting with the folks at Monroe County
Community College (MCCC). We’ve been exploring the possibility
of starting our gatherings at their $12 million LA-Z-BOY Center
for several weeks now but as of today…
it’s a done deal!
We’ll begin meeting in the conference rooms of the state of the art Center, with plans to move into the heart of the complex, Meyer Theater as we grow (seats up to 576).
Our prayer all through the process has been taken from Deuteronomy 12.5-6 “find the site that God, your God, will choose and mark it with his name as a common center for all the tribes of Israel. Assemble there.” – every step of the way we have prayed this Scripture and I believe it’s answer is MCCC.
I’m elated at the possibilities that this location can bring to the vision of the Elevate community. Here are just a few:
a worship gathering embedded in the culture of our city not separate from it
by leasing space our focus can be on growing people rather than maintaining a building
everyone in the county knows where this place is located
the price is so incredible you wouldn’t believe it if I told you!
it is the educational, intellectual & arts center of the city/county
it’s obviously a gathering place for students, one of the least reached groups in the US
it has a rockin atrium/entry-way complete with flat screen tv’s, cool couches and fine art
we can afford loads more space at a better quality this way than we could any other way
this is a perfect environment for unchurched & dechurched people to experience Jesus
On June 15th we’ll have a preview gathering at MCCC -where friends & family can come check it out as we dedicate 4 babies that day – a great start to our public gatherings.

Adam and I are sooo excited to have found such a wonderful church to belong to and can’t wait to start attending services at the college!
Adam, I can picture in my head you standing up on the stage in the theater with all 576 people staring right back at you, listening to you speak about our God so intently and with such joy! You rock and your vision is really starting to evolve…take a step back and enjoy!
WOW. How awesome. I wish we could be their for the 1st service, but we will be on vacation. We are very excited for all of you at elevate church and for your new church location.
