April flurries

Almost all of the posts you have read over the past few weeks were pre-written & time released. I did this in case I wouldn’t get to a cpu because of travel schedule &/or internet access while I was in Russia. Turns out I only had 2 opportunities to blog in the 16 days I was overseas. That means there were very few updates, so in honor of the snowy cold spring weather I encountered while in Russia, I want to unleash a flurry of highlights of the mission trip right here – right now:

Met Tom & Dianne Boldt in Atlanta & caught up in the Crown Room before our flight
April 11-12 the 5th of 6 Million Leader Mandate conferences in Syktyvkar (Syk) Russia
Tom made everyone laugh as he taught on personality types & the power of partnership
Dianne’s business experience gave insight on topics of stewardship & getting the job done
I started & finished the conf speaking on the foundation of leadership & making decisions
The leadership school I helped set up last year doubled the number of trainees to 200!
KC & Cheryl Jones flew into Syk only hours after the leadership conf Sat. nite
Sunday Tom & Dianne visited the Baptist church – KC, Cheryl & I were at Source of Life
We prayed for people that were dealing with fear in their life – 12 gave their life to Christ
Monday in Uhkta we had a wonderful meeting praying for everyone in attendance
Tom & Dianne visited 2 children’s homes showing Christ’s love to the kids there
Tuesday Tom & Dianne flew to Moscow – KC, Cheryl & I went to Pechora & -20 temps
Cheryl got crazy sick but still went to the evening mtgs and saw God do great things
3 young boys addicted to inhaling toxins came forward for salvation & prayer
I shared Christ at a business seminar in Usinsk with mostly unbeliever’s in attendance
KC & Cheryl held a mtg for believer’s where many released unforgiveness toward others
One woman was healed instantly from pain in her back caused by a ruptured disk
Thursday back to Pechora spoke to leaders & held a mtg that evening to a packed house
A depressed man attended looking for hope & was 1 of 4 that received Christ that night
We spent the next 2 days in Vorkuta, far north of the arctic circle known for its gulags
Received threats from an immigration official saying we’d be interrogated & investigated
Held mtg anyway – 3 1/2 hours & prayed for 150 people: big needs – bigger God
Next day we had a leaders mtg then hopped a plane to Syk & directly to a youth service
1 teen girl gave life to Christ – KC & Cheryl really bonded with the young people
Last mtg in Syk KC & Cheryl spoke about the Prodigal & 6 people rededicated lives to God
After the teaching, we prayed for almost 100 people with various needs
We traveled almost 20,000 miles and visited half a dozen cities by train, plane & car
30 people came to faith in Christ & hundreds were touched by God, healed or delivered

So much happened that I can only give brief highlights here, but in the next week or two I’ll share a couple of stories in greater detail.

I have a couple days to recoup then I’m right back into it: Saturday leadership seminar in Battle Creek, Sunday elevate church gathering, and next week back to regular schedule.

Thanks to all of those who prayed for & supported this mission financially.

    Adam,
It’s great to see you back and hear about how much stuff got packed into two and a half weeks! I can’t wait to hear all the other stories in detail.
