The 9/90 project is all about “getting it” when it comes to God’s mission to the world around you. God is always up to something & He’s always inviting us to be a part of it. It is a great mystery that God yearns to have shared experiences with us, but He does -in both intimacy with us and us on mission with Him.

Andrew was hanging out around a prophet named John when Jesus showed up. If there was ever an invitation from God for others to join Him in what He was about to do – Jesus is it! Yet somehow, many people missed it.

Andrew did not. From the moment John declared Jesus the “Lamb of God” Andrew wanted in on what God was doing. He followed Jesus to where He was staying and ate with Him – an ancient sign of intimacy and respect. Andrew searched out his brother, Simon, and compelled him to come meet Jesus.

The next day, Philip had an encounter with Jesus in a region called Galilee. He told his friend Nathanael? to come see for himself what he thought about Jesus.

Andrew and Philip wanted to follow & spend time with Jesus.
Andrew and Philip were inspired to introduce others to Jesus.

Once Simon & Nathanael came to meet Jesus, He spoke to into their lives directly to make Himself known to them. They experienced Jesus first hand and their lives were changed forever because of it (Simon’s name was even changed by Jesus, and was afterward known as Peter).

Because Andrew & Philip accepted the invitation of God through Jesus, others also came to see that God was inviting them. Andrew & Philip got it and helped others get it too.
